We are beings that have become used to instant gratification, and as a result, people sometimes don’t follow their dreams, or struggle to make progress with it because they equate success with effort, or hold resistance to things that they are passionate about. We will delve into it in more detail when we get to the section on limiting societal beliefs.
Something else that trips folks up sometimes is that they become ‘impatient’ if it takes some time for something to realise in their experience. And while wanting something to realise is a natural extension of being a creator, needing to create something because you believe that you need it in order to feel better, immediately introduces resistance into the equation and slows down the realisation of it. And when people don’t feel in the flow and therefore don’t feel like they are channeling energy towards their creation, then they default to wanting to compensate for it through action. And while that is also the application of energy to it, it is a mere trickle of the energy that could be applied to the creation. One of the easiest ways to see it is through an example of a creative project. For example, a painter or a writer can continue to write if they do not feel in the flow, but they will be the first to tell you that that work feels uninspired or not of the same calibre as the work that they can do when they are in the flow or inspired. The leverage of the power of the Creative Source simply isn’t there.
But resistance can be introduced in many ways, that’s not really the focus here; this section is about getting into that space of allowing, which means getting into that place of reducing resistance sufficiently so the things that you are passionate about can flow into your experience.
That means that you at least want to be in a place of acceptance of where you are, making peace with the present moment. For when you stand in resistance to the present moment you cannot Integrate with Self at that same moment. And being in acceptance does not mean abandoning your true desires and not wanting to create more; it simply means that you do not fight against where you are and the people and circumstances that share this moment with you. Taking control of your life means to take control of this moment, which means to step into your full power in this moment. And that in turn means to keep your view in resonance with that of the Self, and that perspective is not in opposition to the present moment and the circumstances and the people that make up the present. Instead, let your focus be on your true desire, your true nature and who and what you are becoming for the thoughts today create the circumstances of tomorrow. That is the natural path of creation where thought and focus turn into the the realised manifestation, and by directing your thoughts you direct your manifestations.
So let that be your first objective – to reach a place of acceptance of the people and circumstances in your life, you are taking back the power in the now. And once you reach the place of acceptance, being in appreciation of the things in your now isn’t that far out of reach, and empowers you even further in moment. Where acceptance means that you let go of the resistance in the moment, appreciation is the place of allowing a strong flow of the Creative Source through you; meaning you have even more power at your service. And by practising to appreciate the things making up the components of your current moment, allows you to do so more frequently and easily and effectively helps you to shift your emotional climate to be in the proximity of appreciation.
For this week, try and get to a place of acceptance for as many of the elements in your now as possible and also try and appreciate more things in your now, even if it is small; such as the lovely warm sunshine on your face or a beautiful flower, and the purring of your cat on your lap. This will help attune you to the resonance of appreciation.
