In this section we will define what success looks like to us.

This is one of THE most important steps in plotting your route to a fulfilled life. This means understanding the different things that you want to incorporate into your life and considering the priority / importance of the implementation of each. Having a variety of things to include in your vision is a really good thing, as you will at different times be inspired to different things, even though 1 or 2 can dominate your time because they are more important to you.

And having different things that you are interested in, does not mean that you are scattering your energy and therefore are not in a position to progress any items really well. In this section we are actually setting ourselves up to be in the flow of the Creative Source, and by plugging into that there is real power that can be directed to the things that we want to grow.

And when you are thinking of including something on your path or your vision, really get behind the WHY. Are you plotting an escape route from someone or something (push factors) or are you pursuing something because it is something that you are passionate about (pull factors)? For example, are you looking for a different job, because it gets you away from your current boss, or colleagues or workload which you don’t want to be around, or is it that you are pulled toward what the new job offers you? The reason why that distinction is important, is that if you launch into a new career or project from a place of feeling vulnerable, or frustrated or angry, there is that much bigger of a chance to simply perpetuate that emotional state in that new job or that new project because your inner world hasn’t changed. Another aspect of a push-factor platform is that you do not have easy access to the knowledge of what is in your best interest because your focus is more on the problem than on the solution side of it. For example, you may quit your job in a moment of rage, although that may not be in your best interest; and from that place the clarity of alignment is not accessible by you.

Lastly, this is not only about getting to understand what fulfillment looks like to you, but also accepting that passion as yours (despite what others and society dictates success to look like) and making a conscious decision (setting the intention) to (re)define your outlook to align with what fulfillment looks like to you. In other words, it is about designing the life that you want; irrespective of the views, opinions, approval or disapproval of others. In essence, that means without the limiting beliefs of the society weighing into the equation. In the next module we will delve into the detail of liming societal beliefs, including what they are, where they come from and how we can overcome them.
