Envision your destination
In order to assist us to build a life with more passion, it is helpful to further energise the thoughts around the things that we are wanting to build, create and realise. Remember the formula of creation which states that Desire – Resistance = Outcome. We are now at the part of ramping up the ‘desire’.
One of the ways that we can do so is through the visualisation of the things that you are wanting to experience; to create. But it is important to know when and how to create through visualisation to be sure that you are creating from a platform which is supportive of the things that you wish to create. That means that you want to make sure that your focus is on things that are supportive of your true desires. And the best way to tell whether your current thoughts (focus) are supportive of your true desires is to assess whether your current emotional weather (state) is in resonance with that of your Inner Peace. If it is, then you know that the energy that you are applying through your focus is supportive of your true desires and is energising the path to those true desires. But if your emotional weather is not in resonance with your Inner Peace, then you can know that there is resistance within the thought or thought patterns that are currently active in you. And when you notice there being resistance in your current emotional weather, then you know that it is not the time to flow energy through visualisation as the energy will not be directed in support of your true desires. Framing this in terms of the formula of creation, means that when we note that our thoughts are in resonance with our Inner Peace, then we flow energy through the visualisation exercise, which means that we are energising the thoughts in support of our true desires, which help us to creative the desired (“positive”) outcome.
Practise Appreciation
We are beings that have become used to instant gratification, and as a result, if we are working on something that takes time to align to, and to allow to flow into our experience, it certainly helps to appreciate and celebrate the even the small gains, while appreciating where you are right here and now. Life is about the journey after all, and being joyful on the journey really is the key to ‘happily ever after’. Also, appreciation allows you to be in a place where you allow connection with Self, which also means that there is no resistance to where you are, which also means that you are empowered in this moment and allowing yourself to better direct your life.
For some people it is helpful to make the appreciation process more tangible by writing down the things that they appreciate. This can be in the form of an appreciation journal where you make time on a regular basis to focus on the people and the things that are in your experience that you appreciate. If you find it hard to find things to appreciate in a particular situation, go more broadly, as there are always things in your life and your environment that you can appreciate. This helps to shift your emotional climate over time to one of more appreciation. And the more you are in appreciation, the more you let go of resistance in the creation formula.

It is not a race
Do not assess yourself against where you think you should be or where you see others. That is a focus of ‘lack’ and you do not want to give your focus and energy to such thoughts which actually act in opposition to your true . Despite what you see around you and what you may have heard, know that life isn’t a race – it’s your own exploration journey. So take it easy, take things step by step, take it day by day, and let it unfold for you as you enjoy the journey.
Also, when you manage to see life from the perspective of the Integrated Self, you are in a place where you no longer need to see the creation or the change around you in order to feel worthy, fulfilled and truly joyful, because you do not base your emotional state on externalities. And therefore, the ‘rush’ to get to a certain place in order to feel better dissipates. But that does not mean that you stop creating, in fact, you are truly in your power when you live life as the Integrated Self, but now it comes as a natural expansion of where you are and you allow the changes from your inner world to be shown (reflected) to you in the conditions that you see around you.
Knowing when to move (act) and when not to
Sometimes one can wonder whether an action that you are contemplating will help to move you in the right direction. This can be tricky to know at times when you have choices to make ahead of you. This is very personal and dependent on the where you find yourself on the journey, but there are certain guidelines to help check whether you are in the best place for contemplation.
- Knowing what time of day is best for you to have clearer thoughts is really important. These times tend to be early mornings / late evenings for most people as their minds are then clearest from the day’s interference. A practical way to implement this in your daily life is to set yourself up in such a way during the time that you are aligned, that you make it as easy as possible for yourself to get back on course when you feel less aligned. That means that when you are aligned, set the intention of wanting to progress a certain project or task and in that way prepare the atmosphere around being in a place to let the Creative Source flow through you when set the time aside to work on your project or task.
- Sometimes the question and the answer should also be sufficiently separated, i.e. the mindset where a question is asked is not always the same mental space as where the answer can be found easily. In those situations a question/answer book can be a handy tool. Questions can be accumulated this way until appropriate time is set aside to address the question(s). In other words, when you are contemplating something, write down your question and revisit it when you know that you have the clarity of your Inner Peace to help you look at a solution.
- To some extent we have a small reset every morning, therefore the way you start a day has a considerable impact on the trajectory of the day. As such, it is very important to consider which things you would like to have an impact on your day. In my experience, I tend to have a lot more direction, and execute the day more like I plan it to go if I fill it with positive thoughts, affirmations and meditation first thing in my day as opposed to checking social media, news, emails etc. because there tends to be more negatively-directed thoughts in these, and I do not want to start my day with my boat pointing in that direction. After setting my course for the day, I return to the normal daily life, although I do remain selective about what I bring into my emotional and physical space.
